on oral health and whole body wellness in the morning and dental
office emergencies in the afternoon. Dental Teams are encouraged to
attend the meeting to be held at the Wyndham Garden Hotel and Woodward
Conference Center. Registration information can be found at

The first monthly meeting is scheduled for:

Nationally recognized speaker, Carol Jahn, RDH, MS, will be speaking on
"Effective Alternatives to Flossing".
There will also be a number of opportunities to volunteer to apply sealants in conjunction with TDHA Sealants Across Texas.
ADDHS also participates in the annual HOPEFEST and will need volunteers, too.
2011 marks the fourth year for the ADDHS Head Start Fluoride Varnish Project. Through the efforts of dental hygienists volunteering 2-3 hours of their time on a Friday and through grants from ADHA and St. David’s Foundation, ADDHS is hoping to reach all of the Head Start Centers this fall and spring.
Evites will be sent to remind you of our meetings and to ask for volunteers for our community events.
If ADDHS does not have your email, please contact Kirsten McGee at:
Kirsten_mcgee@yahoo.com for evites to the monthly meetings.
Contact Sima Sohrabi at:
simasohrabi@hotmail.comif you would like to volunteer for community events.
The Texas Dental Hygienists' Association Annual Session will be at the San Marcos Embassy Suites, September 30-October 2, 2011.
This year, in addition to the House of Delegates, Forums and Marketplace, there will also be FOUR Continuing Education Programs, a product presentation AND an Eat and Learn Luncheon. Mark your calendars now and plan to attend this exciting meeting with other colleagues across Texas. For registration information go to:

The officers of the Austin District Dental Hygienists' Society are available to answer questions and assist where we can.
